The Millard Fuller Foundation, on Wednesday, the 21st of March, 2018 received The Real Estate Development Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Innovation Award for its immense contributions in the housing sector.
The event which held as a sideline of the fifth investiture of REDAN re-elected President, Rev Ugochukwu Chime and the Executive members took place at the International Conference Center, Abuja, and had in attendance dignitaries, top housing developers and housing experts.
In his remark the re-elected President of REDAN, Rev. Ugochukwu Chime, said that the award was aimed at encouraging real estate developers unto more inventiveness, diligence, resourcefulness and perseverance in the industry. “The merit award is aimed at appreciating the developers for of their innovation and demonstration of viability of affordable housing initiative”.
The CEO of the Millard Fuller Foundation, Sam Odia thanked the new REDAN management on the honour. In his words: “My passion and effort at providing affordable housing in Nigeria will continue till all homeless Nigerians become home owners”.
Other persons that were also honoured at the event, aside from developers were Dr Lateef Jakande, pioneer President of REDAN, Prof. Akin Mabogunje, former Chairman, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) Technical Board and Chief Guy Okechukwu, REDAN former Secretary General. They were recognized/honoured for their sacrificial role and commitment in the sector.

It will be recalled that the Millard Fuller Foundation won the award of the “Most Affordable Housing Project of The Year 2017 at the 11th Abuja Housing Show/Nigeria Housing Awards organised by FESADEB Communications.
