On Wednesday, 24th January, 2018, delegates of the Millard Fuller Foundation held a strategic meeting with the top management of the Niger State Housing Corporation.
The meeting which held with the intention of kick-starting a partnership where affordable homes will be delivered to Niger State citizens took place at the Niger State Housing Corporation Headquarters, Paiko Road, Minna, Niger State had in attendance the General Manager, Niger State Housing Corporation, Esv. Ahmed Abdullahi and other top management staff of the corporation.
Fuller’s Assistant Project Manager, Jonathan Mathias Anaja who led the Fuller team gave an insight into the organisation’s mission, vision, projects and housing model.
The General Manager of the Niger State Housing Corporation, Ahmed Abdullahi commended the Millard Fuller Foundation for consistently providing homes to the low income cadre of the Nigerian society.
In his words: “The Millard Fuller Foundation is not new to us. We’ve visited your project site and have seen for ourselves. We will give you the necessary support to build in Niger State as it is part of the Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s effort to provide affordable houses for Niger State indigenes”.
The Niger State Housing Corporation was established in 1979 to address qualitative and quantitative housing inadequacy in Niger State, handle the state housing programmes in collaboration with the state Ministry of Works and Housing and enhance the standard of living of her citizens through the provision of affordable houses.
