The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) is set to partner with the Millard Fuller Foundation to deliver truly affordable homes to low-income earners in Nigeria.
This was stated by the Managing Director of the FMBN, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa when the Millard Fuller Foundation team, led by its Chief Executive Officer, Sam Odia, paid a working visit to the bank on Wednesday, 22nd January 2020.
Dangiwa noted that the FMBN was ready to partner with Fuller to provide truly affordable homes to low-income earners through several of its products designed to meet its target market.
He further said while addressing the Fuller team: “I commend you for your role in affordable housing delivery, and I must say that what you are doing is very encouraging as houses that are being built by most developers today are not affordable to majority of our target market. We are ready to partner with you and we will look for grounds for such collaborative partnership to take place.”
The CEO of the Millard Fuller Foundation, who made a presentation on the ‘One Million Naira House’ project being developed by the organisation, appreciated the MD of FMBN and his team for their efforts at developing products that will ensure that low-income earners in Nigeria have access to truly affordable homes.
Odia while concluding his presentation said, “We strongly believe that every Nigerian should have access to a basic house and that nobody should be homeless. We also believe so much in partnerships as we have seen that we cannot do it all alone.”
