“My baby has enough room to play around” – Mrs. Damaris Dogara
Visibly elated, Mrs. Damaris Dogara couldn’t hide her joy. Her baby, Jubel, just turned one. “How time flies”, she said, “just like yesterday. I could recall her movement in my stomach, and today, she is one!”
Some children were on hand to celebrate with Jubel, who according to her mum, brought them so much blessing.
It could be recalled that one year ago, the Hon. Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, visited her home on her arrival from the hospital shortly after the birth of her baby; the minister was on a working visit to the Grand Luvu Estate of The Millard Fuller Foundation. In Mrs Dogara’s words, “The Finance Minister even carried my daughter and from that instant, I knew Jubel had brought along with her so many blessings.”
One year with her baby at the GrandLuvu Estate, she says she can only count her blessings and how good God has been to her and members of her household.
Jubel was in a world of her own, oblivious of the conversation I was having with her mother. “We dedicated her in Church, after which we all came home to celebrate with other kids”, she said. “My daughter was so excited when she saw other kids; they kept scattering the house. My baby has enough room to play around, which wouldn’t have been possible at my former place. Owning a home at the Fuller Center indeed is a dream come true for me. The Estate is quiet, we have peace of mind, we are close to nature as there are trees everywhere and we can sleep with both eyes closed as the Estate is secured as well.”
We, at The Millard Fuller Foundation, celebrate baby Jubel as she turns one year in a home that is owned by her parents.
