On Wednesday, 3rd October 2018, the Millard Fuller Foundation played host to delegates of the Nigeria Police Force Property Development and Construction Company Limited. Led by its Managing Director, CP Obe E. Rudolf and the Head of Unit, FRSC Housing Cooperative Ebenezer Adebisi, accompanied by some officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, the team was warmly received by some management and staff of the Millard Fuller Foundation.
Welcoming the team to the Fuller Office, the CEO of Millard Fuller Foundation, Sam Odia, said that the mission of the organisation was to provide truly affordable homes for low-income earners in Nigeria. “We initially started selling our houses for as low as N260,000.00 (Two Hundred And Sixty Thousand Naira) for a basic studio apartment. So many people doubted these prices as they considered it ridiculous; some even called us fraudsters. Though our prices have gone up, we are still the producers of the most affordable homes in the country at the moment,” Odia said.
The team was taken on a tour of the GrandLuvu 1 and 2 estates developed by the Millard Fuller Foundation.
CP Obe commended the organisation for its efforts in providing truly affordable homes for low-income earners in Nigeria and said he looks forward to some form of collaborative partnership between the Millard Fuller Foundation and the Nigeria Police Force.
Made up of architects, builders, civil engineers, surveyors, among others, the Nigeria Police Property Development and Construction Company is saddled with the responsibility of providing affordable housing for police officers (junior and senior officers).
